Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition Nearly Confirms Zelda OLED Leak

With the reveal of a collector’s edition for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom having been shown at yesterday’s jam-packed Nintendo Direct, fans are already starting to reason that a recent potential leak of a TotK OLED Switch model could be more believable than ever.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch could be coming soon

The leak — which simultaneously deflated any near future chances of a Nintendo Switch 2 — displayed contents identical to the upcoming Collector’s Edition, complete with the same Pin Set and exact outer shell of the black case from Nintendo’s trailer.

An image featuring a boxed bundle of Tears of the Kingdom with the special edition OLED model also appeared over on Restera, further legitimizing the new Switch.

While looking more and more to be true, we would expect Nintendo to possibly dedicate another Direct in April to the Zelda franchise, just prior to Tears of the Kingdom’s release date of May 12, 2023. This would offer ample time to market the game further and could push fans to purchase the updated Switch model and Collector’s Edition, the latter of which has yet to appear for sale or pre-order anywhere.

In other news from yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, a Metroid Prime Remaster was both announced and made available for digital download, it’s not exactly Metroid Prime 4, but it’ll do.
