Redfall Physical Copies Xbox Version

No, Redfall Physical Copies Will Have a Disc on Xbox

Bethesda has clarified that Redfall physical copies will indeed have a disc for the standard edition of the game on Xbox. Prior reports earlier today stated that the Bethesda support site said both PC and Xbox copies of the game will only be codes, and they weren’t wrong at the time. However, the site’s answer has been updated with more information on how players can get the physical disc.

Redfall standard edition on Xbox is the only way to get a physical disc

In a new explanation of what versions of Redfall will have a physical disc, Bethesda’s support site now says that only the Xbox standard edition will contain a Blu-Ray disc. The physical retail SKU for the PC version will not come with a disc.

Additionally, those who purchase the Bite Back Upgrade version of Redfall will find a code that includes the items in the DLC. If you purchase the Xbox physical version of Redfall, you can purchase the Bite Back Upgrade separately either digitally or at retailers.

The previous answer, as found through a Google cache, said that “the physical Xbox copies of Redfall are Xbox Play Anywhere codes which can [be] played on both the Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Xbox App on PC.”

Hopefully, this clears up all the confusion and that collectors can feel secure that they will be a physical disc after all.

Redfall’s release date on Xbox X|S, Xbox Game Pass, and PC is May 2, 2023. The game will require a constant online connection even in single-player.
